Press the Events live icon to open the Calendar application where you can view your Google and Facebook events side-by-side. If you have a Facebook event due to take place today, the Events icon will change to show the event picture. It will also update to show friends’ profile pictures on their birthday. If you have no events or birthdays in today’s Calendar, the events icon will appear with today’s date shown underneath. If you have more than one event or birthday on one day, the pictures will swap every ten minutes.

Your News Feed refreshes automatically every four hours or so while your phone is switched on. The News Feed live icon will show new stories from the last four hours as well as any older stories with updated Likes or Comments.
When videos are posted on Facebook, they appear in your News Feed as a thumbnail. Tapping this will open the video in the YouTube application.
Sometimes video thumbnails will not appear in your News Feed. This is usually because there isn't always a thumbnail image available in the right size when videos are uploaded to YouTube.
Sometimes when you switch on or unlock your phone, it takes the live icons a few seconds to catch up.
If you wait a few moments and one or more icons still don't appear, please contact our customer service teams.
Everyone uses their phones differently so it's hard to give a definitive answer on this. On average, if you let your INQ Home live icons update automatically and don't manually refresh them, they will use around 75MB of data each month. This doesn't include viewing any photos or videos posted in your News Feed, nor does in take into account how often you open the People app.
