Music & Radio
To transfer files to and from your computer, you'll need to use the USB cable that came with your phone, as well as ensure that there's a memory card installed.
Plug the USB cable into your phone and your computer. Your computer will automatically recognise that a hard drive is connected.
On your phone, drag the Status bar down on the screen to open the Notifications panel. From here, tap on the USB connected option and select Turn on USB storage. Once this option is switched on, you won’t be able to access your microSD card on your phone or any content saved on it so avoid opening Gallery, Music or Camera.
Once your computer has recognised your phone as a storage device, you'll be able to copy and paste files from your computer's hard drive onto your phone. When you're done, unmount your phone from your computer (by pressing the eject icon on Mac or by stopping the device in the taskbar in Windows) and then press Turn off USB storage on your phone. The files you moved will now be visible in the relevant applications, like Gallery and Music.
To use the Radio application on your phone, you'll need to plug in a set of headphones as your phone uses these as an antenna.
Switch on Radio by opening the Main Menu and selecting Radio. Press the Power icon in the top right hand corner of the screen to switch on the Radio application. Once this is on, you can use the arrows to scan up and down the frequencies for FM stations that you want to listen to.
Check out the Music & Radio section of the user guide for more information on how to use the Radio application.
You can create playlists in your phone's Music application by pressing and holding a track that you want to add to a playlist and selecting Add to playlist > New in the popup box that appears.
Enter the name of the playlist that you want to create and then press Save. You'll now be able to add more tracks to the playlist by pressing and holding them in the songs, albums and artists tabs.
You can also set a music track that's saved on your SD card as a ringtone. To do this, open the Main Menu and select the Music application - here you should be able to see all of the tracks that are saved on your SD card. Press and hold the track you want to set as your ringtone. This will open a popup box where you'll be able to select Use as phone ringtone from the list of options.
