Where can I download PC Suite for INQ¹?
You can now download the PC Suite software for Windows from the PC Suite Download page.

What's the easiest way to manage my music and photos on my INQ¹?
Start by downloading DoubleTwist on your Mac or PC and follow the instructions. If you then connect your INQ¹ you'll be able to easily listen to tracks from your phone, move pictures around and copy files from your computer to your phone or the other way around.

Can I read email from my gmail account using my INQ1 mobile phone
To read your email from Gmail account you can choose to use either the 'Email on 3' or the downloadable Google Mail application.
If you have Email on 3 installed, you can simply add a new email account and select Google Mail.
Alternatively, you can download the Google Mail application from the internet via "Switcher > Google > Google Mail" and follow the steps to download and install it on your INQ1.
Switcher

What is Switcher?
Switcher is a row of icons on the INQ¹ Home screen which makes it easy to switch from one application to another. Scroll to the application you want to use and select it by pressing the large navigation button.

How do I switch to another application?
You can switch between applications using the Switcher, the row of icons on the INQ¹ Home Screen. Switcher is available from the Home screen, but can be accessed at any time while you’re using any other service, by pressing the ‘Switcher’ key on the side of the handset (between the volume keys and the camera key). To start an application, or return to any running application, scroll to the appropriate icon using the left and right rocker keys. When highlighted, select to open.

How do I add an icon to the Switcher bar?
Switcher automatically adds a temporary icon if you run a new application or website not already featured on the carousel. The icon disappears again when you close the application or browser. To add an icon, choose Options > Add items to switcher, and follow instructions on screen
Widgets

How do I use widgets?
From the Home screen, scroll up and select ‘ADD’ to choose widgets. Just highlight the widgets you want to use then press SELECT to tick the box, then select DONE. There are different options for each widget. For Weather and Clock, you can set multiple locations. Highlight the widget on the idle screen, then Options > Add new location or Add time zone. One you have added a new location or time zone, highlight the widget and scroll left or right to change the widget display.

What can I do with widgets?
Widgets work from the idle screen and give direct access to things such as internet search, weather for the week, world clock and latest updates from your favourite feeds.

How many widgets can I have?
You can select up to three widgets to display, including 3 different RSS feeds.
Modem

Can I set up my phone as a modem on a PC?
Connect your INQ¹ to any Windows PC and the software will automatically install to your desktop – just follow the instructions. Once the modem software is installed, click the Connect button and start surfing. You can set the INQ Modem software to ‘only connect when 3G is available’ – handy for on a train where you might be in and out of 2G / 3G coverage. Also the modem can automatically reconnect if the connection drops for any reason. Just choose ‘reconnect to internet if connection is lost’ from the settings menu.

How do I set up my phone as a modem on a Mac?
Connect your INQ¹ to your Mac. The software install disk will appear on the desktop. Open the disk and follow the instructions. Once the INQ modem software is installed and opened, you may want to select ‘Keep in dock’ by CTRL-clicking the Modem icon.

Do you support Linux too?
There aren't any plans to support Linux out of the box just yet. We do support developer initiatives to connect your INQ¹ to other devices, so come back soon for more news on this.

What can I do with Facebook?
You can check your inbox, follow your newsfeed, see pokes, respond quickly, see your friends status messages and pictures, see friends’ profiles, post on other peoples walls, update your status, upload photos and more. You can send messages to Facebook friends, and see your friends’ latest profile picture and status directly from the contacts list. There’s a handy widget to keep you in touch with what your friends are doing right now.

What can I not do with Facebook?
You cannot use Applications like add-on Facebook games, but all the core features of Facebook are available to use on your INQ¹.
Skype

What is Skype?
Skype is an internet service that allows you to make free voice calls to other Skype users wherever they are in the world. Skype uses the internet to allow you to talk to people all over the world for free. Now your INQ¹ brings this new Skype technology to mobile.

How does Skype on a mobile work?
The same way it does on a PC! If you're already a Skype user, simply enter your login details in the Skype screen on the phone and all your existing Skype buddies can be loaded into your existing contact list. Then you just choose who you want to call and you're away. If you're not already a Skype user, don't worry, you can get set yourself up on your INQ¹ in seconds – no computer required.

I'm not a Skype user and don't have a Skype account. Can I still enjoy all the free calls and chats on my INQ¹ offers?
Yes, your INQ¹ is designed so that you can set up a Skype account quickly and easily, direct from your keypad. Simply open the Skype application and select ‘Create new account'. Once you have reviewed and accepted the terms and conditions you can create a Skype name and a password and click OK. Skype will then process this, setting up your new account and getting you up and running in seconds. When this is complete, you are ready to start sharing your user name with other friends who have Skype and add their Skype details to your buddy list.
Windows Live Messenger

What is Windows Live Messenger?
Windows Live Messenger is a fast way to have text conversations with your friends using Messenger on a PC or another mobile device.

How do I use Windows Live Messenger on my INQ¹?
Scroll to Windows Live Messenger on the Switcher and sign in. If you don’t already have an account, visit messenger.live.com to download it to your PC or Mac. Once you have an account set up, you can sign in via your INQ¹.

How do I send an instant message?
Your INQ¹ adds your Messenger contacts to your phone contacts list. To send an instant message from your Contacts List, choose a Windows Live Messenger friend and choose Options > WL Messenger > Chat. Alternatively scroll to Windows Live Messenger from the Switcher and select it. From Contacts, choose someone to chat to and select Options > Send Msg.
