0 comment(s)If you live in Sweden you might catch our “Are you INQ?” campaign running as ads on MTV. If you don’t, then you can check them out below. We really like their feel.
In collaboration with 3, MTV is also running a competition called “How INQ are you?”, which gives our fans in Sweden the chance to win INQ Mini 3G handsets and become an MTV VJ for a day. So why not go for it if you’re local.

What’s being said about the INQ Mini 3G?
0 comment(s)It’s been a busy past few weeks at INQ with the INQ Mini 3G continuing to successfully launch across the world. We thought it was about time we review the reviews. So, here’s a selection.
Phones Limited reckon the INQ Mini 3G is awesome.
“The INQ Mini 3G is a petite yet intriguing handset. The handset is the ideal phone for those who love to stay hooked with their friends over social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.”
BANGBANGTECH said the INQ Mini 3G had an impressive array of social networking features, they also said:
“If you have a lot of Skype or MSN contacts, this could work out well in saving you some cash on top-ups.”“It packs an amazing amount of features into such a small price tag that it’s difficult to really find fault.”
Know Your Mobile described the INQ Mini 3G as:

“A budget supercharged social networking phone that packs a social networking punch.“While Wireless Week wrote a review titled INQ Mini Masters the Feature Phone.
“The INQ Mini represents a major step forward in the evolution of the social mobile feature phone.”
“INQ has made the affordable feature phone cool again. They’ve done so by offering consumers the full package. Right down to the box it comes in, the INQ Mini is stylish and playful.”
Finally, Wired.co.uk reviewed our INQ 1 a while back but described the Mini 3G as sleeker, smaller, sexier.
“It’s small, cute and easily pocketable, with a handsome noir-ish face and an interchangeable back plate.“To get more frequent updates of reviews and blogs about INQ, just follow us on Twitter by clicking here.

INQ Mini 3G: Alberto Cerriteño
0 comment(s)With the INQ Mini 3G now rolling out globally. We take a look at what’s behind the box designs and illustrations that tell you a tiny bit of who we are at INQ.
Whether you’ve gone and grabbed the Mini 3G recently or have an INQ¹, you’ll notice that unlike other mobile phone purchases, where the box is opened in a rush then thrown in the bin with last night’s pizza box, the INQ boxes are something to cherish not chuck.
Our handset boxes have illustrations and designs to give you a feel of who we are at INQ. In March, we wrote a blog post about the packaging involving the INQ¹. Now with the launch of the INQ Mini 3G, the typical INQ zeal continues to burst out of our offices.

The design on the INQ Mini 3G packaging is the creation of Mexican illustrator Alberto Cerriteño. A family guy who moved to Portland four years ago, the greenest city in America. Raised and influenced by the colour, warmth and expression spread all around him in Mexico City. Someone who is inspired by vinyl toys and alternative cartoons. Alberto is someone we like, we are INQ, so lets stick him on our boxes. Why not?
And why should we stop conveying who we are with a few pictures on the cover of a box? No one enjoys reading through a phone
encyclopediamanual. Well, we certainly never have. So we threw away the idea and introduced our help cards. Unique. Simple. Striking. The complete opposite of 156 pages of monotony. We prefer it that way. Don’t you?
The INQ Mini 3G help cards feature the work of four illustrators, but they’re not just colorful pretty pictures. They are informative, enlightening and most importantly they are useful. They are INQ. Are you INQ?
These are the images by Alberto. We’ll tell you more about the others soon. If you feel your work is INQ then email us: art@inqmobile.com

INQ Mini 3G now available in Sweden too
0 comment(s)The INQ Mini 3G continues to roll out across countries and continents and is now available in Sweden on the local Three network.
Three Sweden did an excellent job of presenting the handset to the press and blogging community last week, in a setting we felt was very INQ. The media event took place in a Stockholm tattoo parlour. The place doubled as an exhibition space and featured prints of our INQ Mini illustrators on the walls. Here’s a few images from the day (photos courtesy of Priest PR)

It has injected a big splash of much-needed colour onto the high street as we approach the grim wintery time of the year.3 Store staff have been inviting customers to check out the Mini’s integrated social address book, which automatically pulls in Facebook and Skype contacts, and even updates the contacts book with your friends’ new Facebook pictures. INQ Mini 3G goes on sale as INQ¹ scoops award
1 comment(s)Exciting day for us. The INQ Mini 3G went on sale today in the UK and Austria, just hours (albeit a few bleary-eyed ones) after we won best handset for social networking at theMobile Choice Awards.
And here’s Ken Johnstone, our products and design director about to be presented the award from Tesco’s head of telecoms and alongside the host, Sean Lock.
Ken (in the special trousers) being presented the award
We were back in the office to see sales were taking off on 3 in the UK, following a successful start for the Mini on Singtel in Singapore a month ago.
The Mini’s appearance on the high street has already led to reports online at Mobile News and New Media Age.
Our CEO Frank Meehan was with 3 Austria this week as the Mini, with its lovely, integrated address book with Facebook and Skype contacts and proper Twitter, became available for people in Austria.

If you’re in Sweden or Hong Kong you shouldn’t have to wait too long before it becomes available for you.

0 comment(s)
It’s here. (Well almost). The INQ Mini 3G is on its way to 3 stores in UK and Austria and will go on sale this week.3 is the only network in the UK and Austria where you can get your hands on the INQ Mini 3G at the moment.
We are already getting some excited messages from salespeople at the 3 stores asking us about the INQ Mini 3G’s ability to function with several applications on at the same time as well as the glowing reviews it’s had for proper Twitter functionality.
Visit your local 3 store to see the address book that integrates Facebook and Skype contacts and see how we’ve taken Twitter, Facebook and Skype mobile!
And even though we’ve just launched the INQ Mini 3G, we’re already getting grilled by INQ fans and the guys in stores about when the Chat will hit the shops. It’s not far behind, so stay tuned and we’ll let you know shortly.
In the meantime, check these reviews of the INQ Mini 3G, visit the 3 stores to have a play around with one and come back as we’ll put some updates here over the coming weeks.
