To connect your computer to your INQ Mini 3G using Bluetooth®:
- First, make sure your computer has Bluetooth® installed or – if it requires an adapter – ensure this is plugged in before setting up the connection
- Activate Bluetooth® on your INQ Mini 3G by pressing the MENU key and selecting Settings > Bluetooth > Switch on
- Double-click the Mobile Modem icon on your computer’s desktop.
- Select Setting > Connect via Bluetooth. Your computer will automatically search all Bluetooth devices connected
- Select your INQ Mini 3G from the Bluetooth® device list and select Connect.
- Select Finish. Your connection is now set up.
Note: When connecting via Bluetooth® for the first time, PC Suite will require you to create a password to authenticate any new connection. Enter your chosen password in the popup dialog box. You will then be asked to enter this password on your INQ Mini 3G.
If the connection fails, you will see an error message on your computer. Use your computer’s Bluetooth® port detection software to see the available Bluetooth® ports. Select a corresponding port from the list and select Test on your computer to check whether or not the selected port can be used.
Connection failure could also be cause by the distance between your INQ Mini 3G and the computer; make sure that they are within a 10-metre radius of each other. Bluetooth® connectivity may also be subject to interference by walls or other obstacles such as electronic equipment.
Please also note that the INQ Mini 3G’s Connection Guide only supports IVT, Widcomm and Microsoft Bluetooth® drivers.
