Downloading large files from the internet can use a lot of data. Please check with your mobile service that you have a suitable data plan.
Connecting to the internet
To connect to the network, you must first set up the connection settings:
- Select Setting > Connect Setting
- Select the country where you live. The system will then automatically select the relevant access point name (APN)
- You can then choose from the following options:
- The mobile modem connection starts automatically whenever your INQ Mini 3G is connected
- If the network connection fails to connect, the mobile modem will make two further attempts to connect. If all of these connection attempts fail, the mobile modem will stop trying to connect
- The mobile modem will only connect when 3G network access is available
- Select Connect to connect to the network
- Start your computer’s browser to browse the internet
- When you are finished browsing, select Disconnect to close the connection
Note: When the connection is set up, the main window displays details about the current network connection.
To view your connection information, including total usage and downloading traffic:
- Select Usage to display the Total Usage window
- Select one of the following options in the navigation bar to display connection information:
- Today’s: Displays the uploading and downloading information from connections made on the current day
- Month’s: Displays the uploading and downloading information about the connections made during the current month
- Total: Displays the total uploading and downloading information since the usage was last reset
- Select Hide Usage in the main window to close the connection information window
Note: The traffic statistics are only for your reference. Your data plan usage will be based on precise traffic data collected by your network operator.
To clear the connection information collected to date:
- Select Reset in the traffic information window to clear the current traffic information
To access the INQ homepage directly:
- Select the INQ in the lower left corner of the main window (lower right when in the connection information window) to open the INQ homepage in a browser window
