Contacts

With the PC Suite, you can manage your INQ Mini 3G’s contacts conveniently and efficiently.

To access your INQ Mini 3G’s contacts on your computer:

• Select
• Select Device

To create a contact on your computer:

• Select
• Enter their contact information
• Select Save to save the contact

Note: In order to save the contact, you must insert at least one piece of contact information into the form. Contacts without any contact details will not be saved.

To search for a contact on your computer:

• Enter the contact information in the search text box

Note: You can enter any part of the contact information to search for a contact. When you search for a message, a list of the matched contacts is displayed and updated automatically according to the information you enter. If no contacts match your information, no results will be displayed.

To view a contact:

• Open your Contacts and select the contact you wish to view
• The detailed information about the contact is displayed in the box below the contact list
• Right-click the contact to access the following options:
• New Contact: Create a new contact
• Edit Contact: Edit the contact
• Delete Contact: Delete the contact
• Send SMS: Send a message or a business card to the mobile number of the contact
• Send as business Card: Send the selected contact information as a business card
• Export Selected Contacts: Export selected contacts
• Copy: Copy the contact
• Cut: Cut the contact
• Paste: Paste the contact
• You can also click the following shortcut icons displayed above the contact list to perform the related functions:

Icon	Function
	Refreshes the contact list
	Create a new contact
	Edit the selected contact
	Delete the selected contact
	Send a message or a business card to the mobile number of the contact
	Print the contact

Moving Contacts between your INQ Mini 3G’s phone memory and the SIM card

Contacts can be exported from your INQ Mini 3G or SIM card to a range of file types (*.htm, *.txt, *.xls, *.vcf, *.mdb, or *.csv). You can also import contacts from *.vcf or *.mdb files into your INQ Mini 3G’s phonebook or SIM card.

Note: Contacts can be moved between your INQ Mini 3G’s phone memory and the SIM card by selecting them in their original contacts list (e.g. phone memory contacts) and dragging them to the new location (SIM card contacts) in the navigation menu. The contact(s) will them be exported to the new location.

Importing Contacts

Import the contacts from a *.vcf or *.mdb file on your computer to your INQ Mini 3G’s phone memory or the SIM card:

• Select
• Select Device or USIM from the navigation menu
• Right-click the contact list and select Import
• Select the file to be imported and select Open
• Select OK

Note: The number of contacts that can be saved on the SIM card depends on its capacity. If the SIM card is full, the PC Suite stops importing contacts automatically. Contacts already imported prior to this are not affected.

Exporting Contacts

Export contacts to your computer from your INQ Mini 3G’s phone memory or SIM card:

• Select
• Select Device or USIM from the navigation menu
• Choose one of the following operations:
  • Right-click the contact list and select Export All Contacts
  • Select one or more contacts and then right-click the selected contact(s) to choose Export Selected Contacts
• Select where you want to save these exported contacts on your computer
• Enter the file name and select Save

Note: Hold down Shift or Ctrl to select multiple contacts when clicking your selected contacts; or press Ctrl+A to select all the contacts in the list.
