Managing files and synchronisation

With the PC Suite, you can conveniently manage files saved on your computer or your INQ Mini 3G.
To import files from your computer to your INQ Mini 3G:
- Select
to open a view of your computer files in the left pane and your INQ Mini 3G’s files in the right pane - In the right pane, select where in your INQ Mini 3G you wish to save the new file
- In the left pane, select the computer file that you wish to export to your INQ Mini 3G
- You can import the file in two ways:
- Select
to export the file to the specified destination on your INQ Mini 3G - Or right-click the selected file and select Copy. Then right-click the folder you want to save it to in the right pane and select Paste
- Select
Files can be exported from your INQ Mini 3G to your computer by following the process outlined above, taking a file from the INQ Mini 3G pane on the right and copying it into the computer pane on the left or exporting it by selecting
.
Note: When importing a local file to the communication device, you should designate a folder that supports the corresponding file format. For example, a video file can be imported to only the folder that supports video files or a folder that is named Others.
The PC Suite supports:
- Picture formats: *.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, *.png, *.wbmp and *.jpeg
- Audio formats: *.mp3, *.wma, *.mid, *.wav and *.mpga
- Video formats: *.avi and *.wmv
- E-book formats: *.txt and *.doc
Synchronize
With the PC Suite, you can synchronize contacts and calendar appointments between the PC and the communication device.
View your synchronization history:
- Select

- Select Log and choose which of the logged synchronizations you wish to view from the list Choose from one of the following operations:
- Select Open to view the synchronization information, including the start time, end time, content, mode and result of the synchronization, synchronization source between the computer and your INQ Mini 3G, the number of conflicts and list of the synchronization logs
- Select Delete to delete the selected synchronization log
- Select Clear to clear all the synchronization logs saved on the PC
Synchronising Contacts and Calendar appointments
- Select

Select one of the following synchronization modes:
- Automatic: Automatic sync keeps both your phone and computer up-to-date
- Slow: Use this mode only if you've deleted contacts by accident and want to recover them
- Select a synchronization source from the Source box
- Select one of the following conflict options from the Conflict options box:
- Same as PC: When any item on the communication device conflicts with that on the PC, the item on the communication device keeps consistent with that on the PC.
- Same as Phone: When any item on the communication device conflicts with that on the PC, the item on the PC keeps consistent with that on the communication device.
- Ignore: The conflict between the items on the communication device and those on the PC is ignored.
- Prompt user: For any conflict between the items on the communication device and on the PC, the PC Suite prompts you to select an option in the displayed dialog box.
- Select the content you wish to synchronize, including Contact and Calendar
- Select Start to start the synchronization
Note: The first time you synchronize your INQ Mini 3G and your computer will be a slow synchronization by default to ensure all data is captured.
