How do I transfer files between my computer and my INQ Chat 3G?
Connect your INQ Chat 3G to your PC, using the USB cable provided. On the INQ dashboard, click on the 'File transfer' icon to open windows that allow you to easily drag and drop files between your computer and INQ Chat 3G. If you prefer using PC Suite, you'll find the file transfer options under the Media tab.
You can download and install PC Suite from www.inqmobile.com/src/pcsuite
To access the files on the SD card from PC or Mac you can also explore it as you would any removable disk. Make sure you connect the handset while on the home screen and select 'Yes' when asked to transfer files directly to and from your memory card. You can now access the phone's SD Card.
For Mac users, file transfer from the phone's internal memory is only available after setting up a Bluetooth connection.

How do I back up content from my phone?
With the PC Suite, you can back up your INQ Chat 3G’s phonebook, messages, and calendar appointments - as well as information on your SIM card - to your PC. These can then be restored at a later date.

What's the easiest way to manage my music and photos?
Start by downloading doubleTwist on your Mac or PC and follow the installation instructions. You can see more information about this at www.inqmobile.com/doubletwist. Connect your INQ Chat 3G to your computer with the USB cable, open doubleTwist and your phone will appear in the left column of the window. From here, you'll be able to easily listen to tracks from your phone, move pictures around and copy files from your computer to your phone or the other way around; just drag and drop files to your phone and file types will be converted automatically.
If you have any trouble accessing files on your INQ Chat 3G via your Mac or PC, make sure the data transfer mode is set to Memory card transfer (Menu > Settings > Advanced > Connectivity > Memory Card Transfer > Activate).
Switcher

How do I switch from one task to another?
Switcher is the row of icons at the bottom of the INQ Chat 3G Home screen, designed to make it easy to navigate and multi-task. Whatever you're doing, press the Switcher key on the right hand side of your INQ Chat 3G to bring up the Switcher icons.
To start an application or return to an application that’s already running, scroll to the appropriate icon using the left and right scroll keys or by pressing the Switcher key repeatedly. When highlighted, select to Open.

How do I add new items to the Switcher?
Switcher automatically adds a temporary icon if you run a new application or website not already featured on the Switcher menu. The icon disappears again when you close the application or browser.
To permanently add an icon to Switcher, choose Options > Add items to switcher

How do I remove items from the Switcher?
To remove items you have added to Switcher, scroll to the icon you want to remove, choose Options > Remove from switcher. Please note that preloaded/default icons cannot be removed from the Switcher.
Email

How do I set up an email account on the INQ Chat 3G?
To add an email account to your INQ Chat 3G, first select INQ Email from the Switcher. Some of the most popular email service providers are listed in the Add Account screen. If yours is one of the ones shown, highlight and select it from the list.
You'll be asked to insert your email account details, including email address and password. Some providers may also ask for your domain (e.g. whether your email address ends in .com or .co.uk) before pre-populating other fields. If your service provider is not listed, you will be asked to insert all details manually.
Once you've added all of your details, select Log in. Your INQ Chat 3G will connect to your inbox and begin downloading the 50 most recent emails in your account's inbox.

Is my account / service provider supported on the INQ Chat 3G?
INQ Email supports all POP3 and IMAP4 accounts, so as long as you know your service provider's details - like server addresses, encryption and ports - you should be able to send and receive email on your INQ Chat 3G. Some more popular providers are already set up in INQ Email, so all you need to do is add your username or email address and your password.

How do I find out my server address and port?
If your email service provider isn't listed on the add account page, you'll need to enter your details manually. Contact your service provider for details of their server address, encryption preferences and ports.
Widgets

How do I use widgets?
Widgets are a great way to have useful information delivered to the Home screen of your INQ Chat 3G. From the Home screen, scroll up then choose Options > Manage widgets. You’ll see a list of widgets to choose from. Your INQ Chat 3G can display up to three widgets – choose the widgets you want using the Select/Deselect key – then press Done.
Some widgets need a bit of setting up, but it’s quite easy to do.

Can I choose which widgets I want to use?
You can choose from Weather, Facebook, Twitter, Search, World Clock and three separate RSS feed widgets. You can choose which ones you use – why not play with them to see which you find most useful.

There’s room on the INQ Chat 3G Home screen to display up to three widgets.
Facebook

What can I do with Facebook?
With Facebook on your INQ Chat 3G, you can see your newsfeed and update your status, see pokes, invites and messages – and respond quickly, see your friends status messages and pictures, see friends’ profiles, post on other peoples walls, upload photos and more. You can add Facebook friends to your contacts list and, by merging a friend’s Facebook details with their mobile number, you’ll see their Facebook profile pic whenever they call you.

Do I need a browser to use Facebook?
Your INQ Chat 3G uses your data connection to communicate with Facebook. You can do most things using the Facebook application on your INQ Chat 3G. For some Facebook activities the browser on your INQ Chat 3G will open. This uses the same data connection.

Does it cost money to use Facebook?
There’s no charge for using Facebook. Facebook on your INQ Chat 3G uses data when connecting to the internet (for updates, new messages, etc). Your network provider may charge you for that data - check with your provider how they will charge you. An INQ Chat 3G is best used with a flat-rate data plan (ie. unlimited data for a fixed price).
Skype

What can I do with Skype on my INQ Chat 3G?
Skype is an internet service which you can use to make free voice calls to other Skype users around the world. With Skype on your INQ Chat 3G you can talk to Skype users at their computer or on their mobile phone. You can also chat to friends on Skype using Skype chat.
NOTE: Skype is not available in all markets.

I haven't used Skype before. How do I create a new account?
From the Switcher scroll to and open Skype. Select ‘Create Account’ and follow the on-screen instructions (entering your full name, a Skype name, password and email address). If your preferred Skype name is not available, you will need to enter a different one.

Can I use the same Skype account as I use on my computer?
Yes. Your INQ Chat 3G is designed to allow existing users to enjoy Skype wherever they are. Your same Skype name and friends on Skype will appear wherever you choose to log in to Skype. You can't be logged in to two phones simultaneously, so you will need to log out of any other phone before you can access your Skype account on your INQ handset. However, you can be logged on to your account on your PC at the same time as on your mobile.
Twitter

What can I do with Twitter?
Twitter for INQ Chat 3G lets you tweet what you’re up to when you're on the move. See other people’s Tweets (those you are following) and view their profiles. You can also Retweet messages that you wish to share with your friends.
